I hope you're
doing fine, and here's a little something for the new year. A
bit late, I know, but I meant to send this one early January.
Didn't work out...
While working
on the demo of my brand new 'Between Air And Wing' album, I've
recorded a new version of track 15 of 'Closer To The Moon': Baby
With The Shadows In Your Head.
Various people
have been telling me that the album version of Baby With The
Shadows In Your Head is a wee bit too fast, and that they liked
the simplicity of the very first demo version of this song
(acoustic guitar and vocal only).
Well...
The result
is quite pure, a piano and fretless bass version, and I'd
say: burn it on your mp3/i-pod/cd player.
This bonus
Baby With The Shadows version is for free and is downloadable
right here.
If you like
it, spread it round! Don't change the mp3's property tag though
:-)
Enjoy, and I'd
love to read comments. Now I'm back to my headphones editing
vocals to the new album's demo. The demo tracks will be on the
web soon.
Cheers and
don't let economics drag you down ;-)
Steve
PS we're going
on tour this Spring to promote both albums..!!

Soundtracks
from the Between Air And Wing demo:
The first demo
versions of the new album. The demos are used to inspire the musicians I work
with and to start up arrangement concepts. Together we decide which songs ask
for which instruments, and then I just hand the musician a global idea for their
part. We record about 10 takes and I get to edit these, like a sculptor more or
less...
